Interruption Cusp

Getting a Word in Edgewise

nteruption Cusp has many cousins.

The twelve Zodiac siblings are the most famous members of the Cusp family, but there are many specialists such as Dental Cusp and Geometrical Cusp. Rumor has it that Dental once had a thing with The Tooth Fairy, but everyone seems rather hush-hush about it. Geometrical is a singular sort of gent, always difficult to follow in conversation as he back-tracks and goes off on long tangents.

The Cusps, as figments, live in a very special place. The same place you might live, come to think of it. They live in people's heads. They play in books and film and byte. A sport made of who might touch many artifacts; much like a boy may collect baseball cards, a girl may pine for yet another flower in her crown, or a theyling may stuff their satchel with marbles and  broken stones.

You might have met Interruption Cusp before. You may have performed her a moment or two as you stood at a party or sat in a meeting, hand slightly raised, lips barely parted, looking to get a word in edgewise.
